The hotel is gorgeous, ideal with excellent view of the pool. The location is marvellous and stunning, bars and restaurants were walking distance to the venue. There's Burgundy Restaurant within 5 minutes walk or so, loved their menu;))

From the moment we arrived the fairly friendly staff made us feel welcomed. The breakfast in the restaurant was enjoyable with brilliant food and service.

The unit was extremely pleasant and well-appointed.
The bed was extremely comfy, and the room itself was large. We were in an amazing location near Hermanus from the uk and the cliff and the main restaurant...

We were upgraded to a suite which was lovely. The breakfast is awesome and it is not buffet style but from a menu. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. There is a beautiful walking path in front of the hotel around the cliffs and a tidal pool. The tidal pool is something special because how many hotels have a tidal pool? The interior of the hotel is also beautiful.
I think the room service menu could be better and the television could have a bigger bouquet of channels.

The 'ambience' was great - everyone was very friendly - I felt it was a vastly overpriced - I have stayed at some wonderful hotels that cost me less so for what I got I am not likely to visit the Marine again. I actually spent a few days of my honeymoon at the Marine in 1965, so perhaps I wanted to call back the past!!!!! Didn't happen!!!
There is nothing not to like - it's beautiful, staff great, food great, view great. It's a super place for foreigners to stay!!!!

Well first of all we would just like to thank all staff who made our stay absolutely fabulous! The staff were helpful friendly so warm: The hotel felt as if it took us back in time.We actually thought we were in some quaint hotel in the mountains somewhere in Europe. The atmosphere in the dinning room superb! Food delicious and beautifully presented. Nothing was ever to much trouble on our requests. The room spotless and so comfortable! The sea facing room upgrade was such a surprise! The view from our room magnificent. Our stay at The Marine Hermanus was truely "unforgetatable" Hopefully we will be able to visit soon again. Once again thank you for making our stay so enjoyeable and relaxing Kind Regards Bernadine and Raymond Roselt

The venue was well-kept and well-maintained, I thoroughly enjoyed the location near nearby Franshhoek or Cape Town hotels and restaurants, and the center of Hermanus, and garden views. The position of the hotel was incredible and unbeatable, in the mountains behind the town. I ate in the casual restaurant nearby.

Staff very good and friendly. Food expensive but good.
Our room was quite expensive (about 420 Euros a night). We got a special deal, three nights for two so it ended up costing less but nevertheless, it is an expensive hotel for the area. If you can affort it, stay there.

Outstanding location!
We travel all over the world and the room rates at the Marine are ridiculous! As are most South African hotels
